A great big thank you to everyone who came to support the Foundation at the Sugar Mill Last night. Jim Belushi was very entertaining and the party atmosphere was authetic New Orleans. Your support helps the foundation to grow and expand its services for the survivors of domestic violence.

Once again the Annual Meeting exceeds expectations. Awesome programs, great friends and to top it off in a fantastic town. It's the only place to be to 'refill' your excitement and passion for what we do everyday. Networking with other like minded, quality doctors and team members make our profession stronger and sharing ideas allows us to grow in a positive direction. If you weren't here to experience New Orleans, don't miss our next meeting in Hawaii.

It's the best -- again !!
The AACD Annual Scientific Session has proven once again to be the best coming together on this planet of dental educators and dental students at all stages of their careers, gathered together in one place for a few days of gaining the epitome of cosmetic dentistry learning, sharing and camaraderie. And having it in New Orleans just adds to this spectacular party.

After the Celebration of Smiles charity event, several of us are planning to go to the Rockin' Bowl ( Mid City Lanes 504-482-3133) to see Lil' Nathan and the Zydeco Big Timers.

Hugh
BTW This is not an AACD event--just a few of us goin' out and enjoying N'Awlins

New Orleans Dining and Music
Several people have been asking questions about where to go for a great meal and to hear music.
The AACD staff has republished the article that I wrote in the Academy Connection. It can be found in Meeting Program Guide on page 104.
Make sure to call ahead to try to get reservations.
You won't be disappointed.
Have fun!

Media Training and Handson Classes
Just sat in a wonderful workshop with Ramey Warren, world class media trainer to the stars ( American Idol, etc) . Not only did we get fantastic information, we also got to apply some of the knowledge using video cameras to gain some valuable handson feedback. Bill Dorfman, who has also worked with her for many years, also gave great coaching tips on how to work well with the media.
Ramey is also presenting this course on Thursday. It is very worthwhile.
On another note, the handson classes are packed with attendees. Everyone, that I spoke to during lunch, were having very in depth learning experiences. Our sponsors did a great job of selecting their educators.
